Gail A. (Coon) Schley

Gail Ann Schley, age 70, of Battle Creek passed away Friday, January 11, 2019. She was born in Battle Creek on May 23, 1948, the daughter of Charles E. and Betty J (Buchfink) Coon. Gail was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Charles R. "Dick" Coon. She is survived by her son, Aaron T. Schley and his wife, Kathy; and her ex-husbands, Tim Clair and Thomas Schley.

Gail attended Lakeview Schools and graduated from Argubright Business College. She resided in Battle Creek most of her life and was a partial owner of Lakeview Auto Specialties. Gail was a valued member of Clark Equipment Company from 1973 to 1984 before becoming a homemaker. Gail entered back into the work force as a retail clerk at Mix Hardware where she always greeted customers/friends with a smile.

Gail loved entertaining by hosting her friends and family. She was an exceptional cook and talented artist. She loved working in the yard and spoiling her cocker spaniels. Additionally, Gail always had a special place in her heart for her "Lunch Bunch" and "Delton Family".

A "Celebration of Life" gathering will be held 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 23rd at the Battle Creek Country Club, 318 Country Club Dr., Battle Creek.
