Gary Edward Manwarren

Gary Edward Manwarren, 68, passed away after a brief illness in his home on May 9, 2023. Gary was born June 7, 1954 to the late Ida Nuding and LD Manwarren (Mary). Gary is preceded in death by seven brothers, Allen, Lawrence (Marcie), Richard, Harold (Dorothy), James (Beulah), Ronnie (Penny) and Danny and one sister who died at birth.

Gary is survived by his loving lifetime companion and caregiver, Christine Nelson and several nieces and nephews.

Gary graduated from Pennfield High School in 1973. Gary enjoyed spending time with family and friends playing cards, watching Nascar, old movies and really loved music.

Gary has requested his body to be donated to University of Michigan for science and research.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Christine Nelson for taking great care of Gary and to Centrica Care Navigators Hospice for being there for us in our time of need.

Gary will be missed dearly by everyone. A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 1st from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, 105 Capital Avenue, N.E., Battle Creek, MI 49015.
