George Ernest Ladley

George Ernest Ladley, born October 23,1941 passed away during a visit to his hometown of Battle Creek, Michigan on July 25th, 2016. George was surrounded by his wife, Bonnie and daughters, Kimberly Ferris, Kristine Yost and Stacey Skelton, his son George "Eric" Ladley was overwhelming missed.

George was born in Battle Creek, Michigan to John and Nellie Funk-Ladley-Orton and was raised in Union City, Michigan. He had three sisters, and one brother, all deceased. George graduated from Union City High School in 1959. He went on to enlist in the United States Air Force and served his Country until Honorably Discharged in 1963. While stationed at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada, George met and married the love of his life, Bonnie Lee Thompson on December 15th, 1962. Together, George and Bonnie had four children (Kimberly, Kristine, Stacey and Eric), ultimately they settled in Arvada, Colorado and continued to call Arvada home until his passing.

George had a full life; professionally he was a Mechanic, a Stockbroker and a Finance Manager. George ultimately retired from his professional career as an Account Executive for Interstate Brands Corporation (IBC) in 2001. George and Bonnie enjoyed their 15 year retirement spending time with family and friends and traveling across the country in their RV.

George is survived by his wife "Bon", his four children (Kim, Kris, Stacey and Eric), three son in-laws (Paul, Donald and Jimmy), one daughter in-law (Debbie), one granddaughter (Brittney) and six grandsons (Jentry, Christopher, Connor, Logan, Liam and Jaxon). He is also survived by his cousin, Gerald Ensign, his wife Ann and daughter Mary, of Burlington, Michigan.

Memorial Services will be held at the Molly Brown Summer House, 2690 S. Wadsworth Blvd, Denver, Colorado on Saturday August 20th, 2016 from 11am-2pm. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to assist our military veterans, specifically, The Independence Fund. http://independencefund.org.
