Georgina (nee Ross) Woolner, age 91, of Battle Creek, Michigan, formerly of Peterhead, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, passed away on December 21, 2016 in the Bronson At Home Good Samaritan Hospice Residence, Battle Creek.
Georgina was born at Tom's Forest Cottage, Kemnay, Aberdeenshire, Scotland on August 16, 1925, the daughter of Robert W. and Georgina S. Ross. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Reginald Ernest Woolner, her brother, Robert W. Ross and his wife, Elizabeth, her sister-in-law Margaret Ross and her parents.
Surviving are her two loving children, Loraine (and Robert) Cowe of Richland, MI, and Raymond (and Mary) Woolner of Oakton, VA; her brother, James Ross of Wallasey, England; her sister, Hilda (and Robert) Whyte of Novi, MI; her grandchildren, Andrew (and Tina) Woolner of Waxhaw, NC; Chelsea Ross Cowe of Kalamazoo, MI; Mackenzie Woolner and Morgan Woolner of Oakton, VA; and her great-grandchildren, Landon Ross Woolner, Hayden Price Woolner and Finley Lynn Woolner of Waxhaw, NC.
Georgina was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Battle Creek for 54 years, a founding member of the Scottish Society of Southwest Michigan and a Volunteer with the Bronson Auxiliary Volunteers for 20 years.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that monetary donations be made in Georgina's name to The Youth Group at the First Presbyterian Church, 111 Capital Ave. NE, Battle Creek, Michigan, 49017.
