Glenn Newton "Buzz" Campbell, Jr. of Battle Creek, MI

Buzz, age 62, died unexpectedly Friday afternoon, January 27, 2017 at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital.

Buzz, the son of Glenn N. and Clara M. (Bruynooghe) Campbell, Sr. was born in Hastings, MI on March 6, 1954; was a lifetime area resident and a 1972 graduate of Hastings High School. He was a Carton and Container Operator for Post Cereals for over 35 years. Buzz was a member of the "Over the Hill Gang" Harley Motorcycle Club and the National Rifle Association. He was an avid golfer, fisherman and bagged many a deer while hunting with family and friends.

Buzz is survived by his daughter, Shannon M. (Steve) Miller of Battle Creek; his son, Chad M. (April) Campbell of Plainwell, MI; six precious grandchildren, Nathan Chantrenne, Marah Chantrenne, Taylar Coyer, Lacey Campbell, Andrew Miller and Weston Campbell; a sister, Linda (Richard) Adolph of Battle Creek and five brothers, Mike Campbell, Leonard (Kris) Campbell and Marty (Melissa) Campbell, all of Dowling, MI, Richard (Val) Campbell of Hastings and Kevin "Kip" Campbell of Battle Creek. Buzz was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved Snickers, a chocolate Lab.

The Memorial Service to celebrate Buzz's life will be held on Wednesday, February 1st at 2:00 p.m. at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek with the Rev. Robert G. Muirhead, Pastor of the Fort Custer Christian Assembly, officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Battle Creek. Family and friends will continue Buzz's life celebration with a time of fellowship and dinner at the PNA Club of Battle Creek. Buzz's family will greet friends on Tuesday, January 31st from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Buzz's honor may be directed to the Humane Society of South Central Michigan, 2500 Watkins Road, Battle Creek, MI 49015.
