Glenn J Goheen, 85, of Battle Creek, passed away August 22, 2023 at home with his loving family. He was born February 24, 1938 to Fredrick and Lulu (Trine) Goheen. He graduated from Tekonsha High School in 1956 and then joined the U.S. Coast Guard and served four years. He started his working career at the Eaton Corporation and retired after 32 years.
Family was Glenn’s passion. He enjoyed family get togethers and cherished all the good times he spent with them. Glenn was a member of the Kalamazoo Corvette Club for over 25 years. He often commented on how many wonderful friends he had made since joining the club. He was also a Mason for many years. Glenn had numerous hobbies, one of which was restoring old tractors. He enjoyed traveling the U.S. with his many good friends and family.
Glenn will forever be remembered for his loving, caring nature, his sense of humor and his big laugh.
Glenn is survived by his loving wife, Ruth of 33 years; children, LJ (Marcia) Goheen, Nadine (Dennis) Rodriguez, Chris (Darin) DeCator and Paula (Greg) Falcon; 8 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 5 brothers; two sisters and several nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate Glenn’s life will be 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at Baseline Church. A luncheon at the church will immediately follow. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, also at the church. A private, family only interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Tekonsha.
