Glenn E. Moravetz, age 78, of Battle Creek died Sunday afternoon, March 30, 2014 at Bronson Battle Creek. He was born in Rib Lake, Wisconsin on August 15, 1935, the son of Joseph F. and Helen M. (St. Clair) Moravetz. Glenn retired after more than 38 years of faithful service at Community Hospital, Leila Hospital and Battle Creek Health Systems.
Glenn married his loving wife of more than 46 years, Ardyce V. Lunz in Battle Creek on June 18, 1967; she survives. He is also survived by his children, Teresa (Ronald) Messenger, Lonnie (Tammie) Moravetz, Virginia Leacock, Cherie (Tim) Stark and Evan (Mikyong) Moravetz; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, and a sister, Evelyn (Robert) Wonderly. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and a brother.
Glenn was a member of the Urbandale Seventh-Day Adventist Church. He truly enjoyed all types of woodworking, travelling, gardening and spending time with his wonderful family.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home. Funeral services to celebrate Glenn's life will be held 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 3, 2014 at the Urbandale Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 20440 N. Bedford Road, Battle Creek with Pastor Ryan Counsell, officiating. Interment will follow at Hicks West Pennfield Cemetery.
