Gordon Noel Mitchell, Age 90, of Hickory Corners, Michigan, Passed away Saturday, January 1st, 2022, at Borgess Medical Center.
He was born July 30th, 1931, the son of Paul and Maxine Mitchell. He married the love of his life, Barbara Fennell, in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan on February 11th, 1956. He retired 28 years ago from North American Van Lines.
He enjoyed spending time with his family. His favorite place to be was on the front porch he built for the love of his life.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Mitchell; his son, Phillip Shoe; Daughter in-law, Sally Shoe; and his parents Paul and Maxine Mitchell; step father, George Chivers and brothers Paul Mitchell and William Mitchell.
Gordon is survived by his children; Carol (Shoe) Rodriguez, Matthew (Kim) Mitchell, Rick (Marlene) Mitchell, Teresa (Joseph) Steele and Kitson (Mindy) Michell; his 10 Grand Children, 18 great grand children and 4 great great grand children.
Gordon will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Especially his children. A private service will be held grave side at a later date. Services are by Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral home & Cremation Care. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of South Central Michigan.
