Graham, age 88, died Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Bronson @ Home Hospice Residence of Battle Creek following a lengthy illness and with his loving family by his side.

Graham, the son of Thomas L. and Mary Alice (Walters) Miner, was born in Battle Creek on August 8, 1928; was a lifetime area resident and a 1947 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School. Right out of high School, he joined the United States Navy and served his country honorably and nobly as a Seaman aboard the USS Furse in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Graham retired in 1987 after 38 years of faithful service at the Kellogg Company as a fork-lift operator. He was a member of the Kellogg 25 Year Club and had been an avid bowler. Graham also enjoyed following the Detroit Lions and Tigers, no matter their records!

Graham married the "Love of his Life," the former Margaret A. Wigham, a member of the Royal British Navy in Blyth, England on August 25, 1955. Surviving is his wife of 56 years, Margaret; his daughter, Mary Elizabeth Miner of Battle Creek; his son, Kevin Lee Miner of Battle Creek; four precious grandchildren, Chelsen (Jason) Pickett, Demion Miner, Jair Miner and Jalen Miner; a great granddaughter, Westin Grace Pickett, and many nieces and nephews. Graham was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Rosemary Keagle and three brothers, Thomas, Frederick and Billy Miner.

A Graveside Service to celebrate Graham's life will be held on Friday, May 5th at 1:30 p.m. at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta with the United States Navy Honor Guard and the Fort Custer Honor Guard bestowing full military honors. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Graham's honor may be directed to the Gary Sinise Foundation, Serving Honor And Need, P. O. Box 50008, Studio City, CA 91614-5001. The Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek assisting Graham's family with his arrangements.
