Gregory A. Smith, 57, of Battle Creek, died April 19, 2023. Greg was born August 11, 1965 in Fort Worth, TX to Harvey and Patricia (Lackey) Smith. He worked at Hi-Lex in Battle Creek for 37 years.
Greg enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing and working on his truck. He especially loved to build and was an excellent craftsman. He was very proud of his family and cherished his time spent with them.
Greg is survived by his three children, Brandon (Kaylee) Smith, Brittany (Devin Still) Smith, and Justin Hicks; his mother, Patricia (Blaine) Armour; three grandchildren, Isabella Marie Smith, Khloee Marie Kuczka and Kaleb Matthew Lee Kuczka and his siblings, Theresa Haycook, Billy Joe Smith and Scott (Lucy) Smith. He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey and a brother, Harvey Smith, Jr.
Funeral services to celebrate Greg’s life will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 24, 2023 at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, starting at 10:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Battle Creek Cancer Center, 300 North Ave, Battle Creek, MI 49017.
