Harmon Lee Brady, 96, of Galesburg, died February 24, 2016 at the Battle Creek VA Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Harmon was born December 14, 1919 in Morgan County, AL to L.H. Brady and Stella (Hammonds) Brady. He joined and served honorably in the U.S. Army and later worked as a machine operator for Georgia Pacific. He also worked at UpJohn for 10 years.

Harmon loved fishing, bowling and card games. He also enjoyed playing dominoes.

Harmon married the former Frances Jones on August 12, 1944, who survives. Also surviving are their three sons, Wayne (Nancy) Brady, Dwight (Kathy) Brady and Guin (Diana) Brady; seven grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; one great-great grandson, and three siblings, Nina Wilson, Maye Moses and Faye Moses.

Harmon was preceded in death by his parents, and two siblings, Selma Sybert and Claud Brady.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 28, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Augusta Chapel, where funeral services to celebrate his life will be Monday, February 29th at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Rev. Don Ibbotson. Interment with full military honors will be Tuesday, March 1 at 1:00 p.m. at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Bible Baptist Church of Augusta or the American Cancer Society. Personal messages for the family may be placed at www.farleyestesdowdle.com.
