Harold And Joanne Bartzen

Harold D. Bartzen, age 88, of Battle Creek, died October 30, 2019. Harold was born August 11, 1931 in Battle Creek to Charles and Lucille (Palmiter) Bartzen. Harold loved woodworking, fishing and gardening.

Joanne J. Bartzen, age 85, of Battle Creek, died December 20, 2018. Joanne was born December 27, 1932 in Battle Creek to Herman and Geneva (Swank) Turley. She graduated from Battle Creek Central High School. Joanne was a homemaker and loved gardening.

Harold and Joanne were married June 14, 1952. Together they loved camping, selling Christmas trees, gardening and working in Harold's woodshop.

Harold and Joanne are survived by two sons, Dale (Sherry) Bartzen of Newark, OH, and Paul (Shelly) Bartzen of Delton. Joanne is also survived by two sisters, Barbara Weed of Florida and Linda Willavize of Battle Creek.

They were preceded in death by Harold's parents, Joanne's parents , Harold's brother, Lawrence Bartzen, and Joanne's brother, Daniel Turley.
