Harold Clifford "John"Heider, 62, of Battle Creek, died unexpectedly Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at home surrounded by his family. He was born February 13, 1951 in Lansing, the son of Howard F. and Delma M (Barber) Heider.
He served his country with the US Army and was employed until this year at Asmo Company.
Harold C. Heider was united in marriage to Darlene L. Bissett, February 13, 2003 in Battle Creek. In addition to his wife Darlene, John is survived by four children, Johnny, Sierra, John Kenny; five stepchildren, Rich, James, Bobby, Billy, Jeri ; twenty-three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, his mother, brother, Howard "Butch" ( Linda) Heider; two sisters, Kathy (Bill) Nelson, Tammy (Galand) Winschell, and many niece and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father in 2008.
John loved his family, NASCAR, (especially Kasey Kahne-# 5); and his music. He was a great musician and had his own band years ago. John played bass guitar, but loved his twelve string acoustical guitar.
A memorial gathering will be held 4:00 PM, Friday, March 22, 2013 at 40 Winnifred St., Battle Creek, MI, 49014. Arrangements are by the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home, Battle Creek, MI.
