Harold F. Yother, of Battle Creek, passed away on April 20, 2026 at the age of 93.

Harold was born in 1932 in Dayton, Tennessee. His presence had a profound and lasting impact on the lives he touched. A devoted husband, he married his beloved wife, Marjorie, in August 1955, and together they built a life centered on family, loyalty, and unwavering care for one another. 

Harold proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1955, where he was stationed in Alaska. Following his military service, he worked for General Foods (Post Division), where he was a skilled sheet metal mechanic until his retirement. He took pride in his work and the dedication he brought to his craft throughout the years.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; his son, Randy, and daughter-in-law, Vickie Yother, of Battle Creek; his grandchildren, Michelle Yother-Johnson and her husband, Nathan Johnson, of San Diego, and Melissa Yother-Housner of Kalamazoo; his great-grandchildren, Hailey and Ella; his sister, Reba Brown and her husband, Wayne; his sister Debbie Blainar and her husband, Terry; his sister, Barbra Bunch; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul J. Yother; his mother, Hazel W. (Wilkey) Yother; his brother, Donald Edward Yother; his sister, Juanita Brown; and his brothers-in-law, Don Brown and Carter Bunch.

A private graveside service for family will be held. Arrangements are by Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Post Foundation of Battle Creek.

Harold’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, especially in the love he shared so deeply with his family.
