Harriett Louise Brandli (Johnson), of Bellevue, MI and formerly of Battle Creek, MI, 
                 
                   Harriett, age 89, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her daughter Sally's residence on Thursday morning, October 23, 2014.
             
                  Harriett, the daughter of Emil J. and Laura (Rice) Brandli, was born on June 14, 1925 in Battle Creek; was a lifetime resident and a 1944 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School.  She had been employed as a seamstress and tailor for Redwood & Ross, Cole's and Mr. Kenneth's; a bookkeeper for the Battle Creek Gas Company and a cake decorator for Allmans & Cummings.   Harriett will be remembered for being a very talented seamstress and enjoyed gardening and crafts, but her true passion in life was spending time and traveling with her family. 
                 
                  Surviving are two daughters, Sally L. (Dwight) Bird of Bellevue and Laurie (Nick) Newburn of Battle Creek; her son, Randy Johnson of Lansing, MI; four grandchildren, Ashley Bird, Aaron Bird, Melissa (Jacob) Kelly and Jerrod Johnson  and her brother, Duane Brandli.  Harriett was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Kenneth and Ronald Brandli.
                  
                    Harriett's family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 28th from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home, Battle Creek.  A Private, Family Graveside Service will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery, Battle Creek.
