Harry Irvin Mc Glocklin of Battle Creek, MI


Harry,age 89, died Saturday afternoon, March 12, 2016 at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital.

Harry, the son of Ray and Effie (Osterhouse) Mc Glocklin, was born in Kalamazoo, MI on November 16, 1926 and resided in the Climax area most of his life. He served country honorably and nobly during World War II in the United States Navy as a Seaman First Class stationed in the Asiatic Pacific Theartre. Harry continued in the United States Navy Reserves retiring in 1986 after 40 years. He farmed for many years in the Climax area and had been employed at Daladin's Auto Body Shop of Kalamazoo. Harry was a "Putterer" at heart and would lend a helping hand to anyone!

Surviving are two daughters, Cheryl L. Mc Glocklin of Kalamazoo and Tammy L. Mc Glocklin of Battle Creek; five grandchildren, Nathan (Krissy) Mc Glocklin, Jessica (Frank) Hayworth, Kendra Dean, Jacoba Haske and Nichlos Haske and by a great grandson, Carter.

The Graveside Service to celebrate Harry's life will be held on Friday, March 18th at Noon at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI, with the United States Navy Honor Guard and the Fort Custer Honor Guard bestowing full military honors. The Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek is assisting Harry's family with his arrangements.
