Heather Renee Deforest

Heather Renee DeForest, age 45, of Battle Creek sadly passed away early Thursday morning, September 21, 2017 at Bronson Battle Creek. She was born in Gobles, MI on August 7, 1972, the loving daughter of Ronald DeForest and Lynn Hunt.

Heather had a best friend and home companion dog named "Moo Moo", which was like her child she loved so very much. She worked many jobs, such as taking care of the elderly, doing home health care and so much more. Soon she became the caregiver of her own mother and began focusing on her family. She enjoyed hanging out with friends and spending as much time at the beach as she could, and just living life to the fullest. Veronica DeForest, Heather's sister, took care of her on a daily basis. They were sisters and best friends, and had an inseparable bond.

Heather was united with her mother, Lynn Wood Hunt and her brother, Jay in heaven. Surviving are her father, Ronald DeForest and step-mother, Donna DeForest; her boyfriend, Joshua Headen; brothers, Andy Gaines, Steven DeForest, Ronald D. DeForest (Bubba) and Joshua DeForest, Jr.; sisters, Veronica DeForest, Ashley DeForest, Danielle Smith, Nevaeh DeForest, Jessica Deforest and Cilena McCormick; and many nieces and nephews whom loved her very much.

The family will be doing a private memorial service in South Haven to celebrate Heathers beautiful life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to the family.
