Helen A. Gault

Helen A. Gault, age 95, of Kalamazoo and formerly of Richland passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021. She was born in New York City, New York on February 12, 1926, the daughter of Nathan and Sarah (Newburg) Perelstein. Helen graduated from Walton High School and attended the Drake Business School. She met her future husband, Robert "Bob" Gault on a beach in Miami, Florida and they were married on July 31, 1945 on an Army base in Baltimore, Maryland, as Helen worked in a Colonel's office and Bob was leaving soon for the Korean War.

Helen was a long time resident of Richland, Michigan with her husband, Bob on 20 acres. He sadly preceded her in death on August 16, 2013. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Meyer and Henrietta. She treasured her relationships with her former niece-in-law, Pat Skott from Atlanta, Georgia & her children. Helen truly enjoyed bowling, crocheting & knitting, gardening, arts & crafts, classical music and watching movies.

Funeral services to celebrate Helen's life will be held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at the Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan. Arrangements by the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Richland Chapel.
