Helen Suzanne Grassi

Helen S. Grassi, 67, of Battle Creek, went with our Lord Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Bronson Battle Creek. Helen was born February 28, 1947 in Detroit to Donald and Catherine (Young) Foster. She graduated high school and worked in retail sales for many years.

Helen had many hobbies. She enjoyed singing, writing poetry, theatre, camping, and hunting and fishing. She loved dancing with her husband, Woody, and adored her pets.

Helen is survived by her loving husband, Woody; a daughter, Heather (Jason) Russell; two sons, Branden (Erica) Borchardt and Preston (Lu) Borchardt; two step-sons, Elwood J. "Woody" Grassi and Danny G. Grassi; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Kathryn Foster.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service to celebrate her life will be 2:30 p.m., Monday, January 12, 2015 at Fort Custer National Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Ralph Cates.
