Helen B. "Polly" Morgan

Helen B. "Polly" Morgan, age 83, of Springfield went to be with her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday morning, July 26, 2016 at Bronson Hospital, Kalamazoo. She was born in Dayton, Tennessee on June 5, 1933, the loving daughter of Jess and Reecie (Hall) Eakins.

Polly married James Richard Morgan on February 15, 1952; he sadly preceded her in death on January 23, 1994. She was also preceded in death by her sons, Steven Morgan and Gary Morgan; her parents; her sister, Beverly Burke, and her brothers, R.J. Eakins and Jennings Eakins. Polly is survived by her daughter, Terri (Glen) Sims of Battle Creek; her daughter-in-law, Jean Morgan of Ypsilanti; three grandchildren, Callie (Dave) McGlue, Jill (Chad Roy) Morgan and Brian Morgan; two great-grandchildren, Becky Morgan, Seth Morgan, and a great-great grandson, Jace Fields.
Polly was a member of Life in Christ Ministries (formerly Glad Tidings Assembly) for more than 40 years. She enjoyed decorating, being in the outdoors, reading, cooking, and truly loved spending time with her family & friends.

The family will receive friends 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek, where funeral services to celebrate Polly's life will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 1, 2016 with Pastor Danny L. Martineau of Life in Christ Ministries, officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
