Henry Hank Case

Henry S. "Hank" Case, 82, of Battle Creek died Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Select Specialty Hospital. Hank was born August 13, 1931 in Battle Creek, to William D. and Anna M. (Hallax) Case; he was the oldest son of six. He attended Battle Creek Central High School and served his country in the US Navy Reserves.

Hank worked at Post Cereals of General Foods, Kraft Division for 33 years retiring in 1989 from Pest Control Dept.
On March 11, 1950 Henry S. Case was united in marriage to Dolores J. "Dee" Poling. Dee preceded him in death December 10, 1999.
Hank is survived by three sons, Todd H. (Eli) Case, Steven A. (Patti) Case, Rick (Sheila) Case; two daughters, Dotty Lou Beck and Dora Lynn (Jon) Presecan all of Battle Creek; thirteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife Dee, Hank was preceded in death by his parents.

Hank was a member of Baseline United Methodist Church, worked 50 years with the Boy Scouts -Troop # 374, active with the Pennfield Fire Department for 28 years, active with the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen and Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Care.
Hank's hobbies included wood working, gardening, and wood cutting during the winter months and you could always hear him whistling.

A visitation for Hank will be 2-4 & 6-8pm, Sunday, December 29, 2013 at Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held 1:30 pm, Monday, December 30, 2013 with Major LaVern Poling, retired, of the Salvation Army, officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends who wish may make memorial contributions to Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Care or Residence, the Boy Scouts of American or the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen.
