Hung Chui

Hung Chui, 88, of Plainwell, died January 20, 2016 at Bronson Battle Creek. Hung was born February 8, 1927 in Guangdong, China to Kang and Ying (Lou) Chui. He married the love of his life, Yin Chan. The couple enjoyed 58 years of marriage. Hung and his family immigrated to the U.S.A. 34 years ago.

Hung enjoyed writing, playing chess and planting and taking care of fruit trees. He especially loved playing with his grandchildren.

Hung is survived by his wife, Yin; their children, Kam Chun (Yu Yan Jiang) Chui, Kam Yuen (Yuer) Chui, Ying (Gary Pratt) Chui and Ming Chui; five grandchildren, Alice Huang, Kelly Chui, Kevin Chui, Karen Chui and Sarah Chui. Hung was preceded in death his sister, Annie Chu.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Farley Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, where funeral services to celebrate Hung's life will be Friday, January 29th at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery, Richland.
