It is with great sadness we share the passing of our strong, stubborn and very brave mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, wife and friend, Ida Nell (Landers, Garrett,) Taylor. Ida passed away on November 3, 2023 at her home, surrounded by her family, after a very lengthy illness.
Ida was born on September 4, 1937 in Twinton, Tennessee to John and Eunice Landers. She married Robert Garrett and moved to the Augusta area in 1957. They were blessed with 3 children, Margaret (Gene) Richar, Debra and John.
On September 21,1991 she married Jack Taylor and relocated to Puryear, Tennessee where she and Jack owned and operated Taylor’s Bar. They remained there till illness forced them to return to Augusta to be closer to their family.
Ida was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert and Jack, her parents, 3 brothers, Ray, Junior, and Robert, 3 sisters, Juanita, Patty, and Roberta. She is survived by her 3 children, grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, her baby sister, Jean (Jim) Thompson, brothers, Jay (Linda) and Bud (Margaret) Landers, and beloved brother-in-law Bob Harvey. She held a special place in the hearts of her nieces, nephews, and all who were lucky enough to call her friend.
