Ilene D. Raymond

Ilene D. Raymond, age 87, of Galesburg, MI went to be with her Lord & Savior on Sunday morning, May 1, 2016. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 4, 1928, the loving daughter of Harold and Gladys (Strong) Hope. Ilene worked as an executive secretary for many years at I.C.E.A. in Detroit.

Ilene married the "Love of Her Life", Clayton E. Raymond in Detroit on September 20, 1958; he sadly preceded her in death on January 15, 1982. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers and a sister. Ilene is survived by her children, Greg (Terry) Raymond of North Port, FL, Tim Raymond of Cedar Springs, MI, Kim Talmage of Galesburg, and 9 grandchildren.

Ilene was an active member of gracespring Bible Church of Richland and was also active with the "Seasoned Sisters" group. Ilene was a very loving and giving woman and was always ready to help someone in need. Ilene enjoyed the beauty of God's creation, traveling and spending time with her family.

The family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 4th at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Richland Chapel, 9170 East D Avenue (M-89) Richland. Family and friends will gather at gracespring Bible Church, 8643 Gull Rd., Richland at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, May 5th for a time of fellowship & a light luncheon with Ilene's funeral services to celebrate her life to begin at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at East Hickory Corners Cemetery.
