Jack David Howard

Jack David Howard, 53 of Battle Creek, Michigan, died Sunday, August 13, 2023, at Majestic Care in Battle Creek, after bravely fighting brain cancer with metastasis.

Jack was born in Battle Creek, Michigan on November 11, 1969. His grandmother helped raise him during his early years. Jack was a 1989 graduate of Lakeview High School. He was currently employed at Flex-N-Gate as an auto press operator.  

Jack is survived by his girlfriend of 19 years, Angel Rochelle Riddle; a son, Matthew Andrews; a grandson, Knoah; a brother-in-law, Lee (Tonia) Riddle; his dog, Bubba and his mother, Cindy Francisco Barnes, all of Battle Creek. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Roger Riddle and his maternal grandmother.

Jack loved spending time with his family, especially his grandson, Knoah. He enjoyed welding and had earned his welding tech certificate. He also enjoyed working in his yard, swimming in his pool and going hunting and fishing. He recently fought through his illness to go fishing with his son, Matthew. Jack also loved his dog, “Bubba”. Jack will be remembered for his golden heart and bright smile that would light up the room.

A service to celebrate Jack’s life will be held at a later date along with his inurnment at Hicks Cemetery in Pennfield Township. You are welcome to contact Angel to confirm the time and date.
