Jacqueline “Jackie” Y. Fox, 86, of Battle Creek, passed away December 8, 2024. Jackie was born March 25, 1938 in Battle Creek to James and Flora (Lafevre) May. She attended Battle Creek Public Schools and later worked at the VA Hospital in housekeeping and food service for 14 years. Jackie married Bill L. Fox, which ended in divorce.
Jackie was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, was part of the Foster Grandparent Program from 1998 to 2012 and worked at the Stars and Stripes Learning Center (daycare at the Federal Center) for many years. She enjoyed sewing, cake decorating, gardening and canning vegetables.
Jacqueline is survived by her two children, Paul R. (Katherine) Fox and Jackie (Fox) Noel; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, James (Evelyn) May, Jr. and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Bill L. Fox Jr. and Phillip J. Fox; a sister, Pat Voight; two brothers, Dwight May and Paul May; a grandson, Justin P. Noel and a son-in-law, Clarence Noel.
Visitation will be Friday, December 13th, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, where funeral services to celebrate Jackie’s life will be Saturday, December 14th at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
