Jan M. Farley

It is with great sadness that we have the share the passing of our beloved mother and wife, Jan Marie Farley, age 79. She died peacefully and went in to the Lord's arms on Tuesday, November 16, 2021. Jan was born April 10, 1942 in Battle Creek, the daughter of Margaret and Benjamin Hoshal.

Jan attended and graduated from Lakeview High School and worked several different jobs, the most recent one at Meijer. In 1958 she married her life companion, Arthur Farley. They celebrated 63 years together. Jan was an outside person and enjoyed hiking and exploring. She loved to working in her flower garden and spending time with horses. Jan and Art traveled together and often took cruises to many places, including Hawaii for their 25th wedding anniversary. They went out to Tucson, Arizona during the winter for the last 30 years.

Jan is survived and loved by her husband, Arthur; their daughters, Terri (Bill) Wills and Tammi (Tom) Harris; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her sister Cindy Ackerman.

Jan was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, David Hoshal and a sister, Maggie Hoshal.
