Jane E. Campbell, 94, of Battle Creek, died November 15, 2021. Jane was born April 12, 1927 in Doreno, MO to Jesse and Esther (Green) Baker. She was a stenographer before working in physical therapy and retired from teaching at Battle Creek and Springfield Schools.
Jane married Richard Campbell on August 24, 1947, who survives. She is also survived by her two daughters, Paula (Jim, deceased) Norman and Peggy (Tom) Bishop; four grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great great-granddaughters; a brother-in-law, Humbert Yepez and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Barbara Yepez, two granddaughters and one grandson.
Jane was a longtime member of The Church of the Brethren where she contributed to making quilts for missionary work and charitable donations before becoming a member of the First Baptist Church. She also loved to travel and spend time at the lake fishing, boating and skiing with family and friends. Jane enjoyed quilting, sewing, canning, gardening and working with flowers. Above all, Jane loved to spend time with family, especially at family get togethers.
Funeral services to celebrate Jane's life will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 20, 2021 at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, starting at 10:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
