Janet Lee (Strong) Frost, 70 of Battle Creek died peacefully at home and was pronounced on Saturday, January 21, 2023.
Janet was born January 22, 1952, in Cadillac, Michigan, the daughter of Derward and Martha (Ramlow) Strong. Janet has resided in Battle Creek since age four. She was a 1970 graduate of Lakeview High School and attended Western Michigan University for two years. Janet was currently employed as the office manager and problem solver at Jack Pearl's Team Sports, where she was employed for over 45 years.
Janet was formerly married to Patrick S. Frost and they remained great friends for life. Surviving are their two daughters, Erin Elizabeth (Ryan Kostakis) Frost of Battle Creek, Lauren Michelle Frost of Kalamazoo; grandson, Griffin Archer Kostakis; sister, Anna Strong; niece, Kimberly (Russell) Carroll; and nephew, Michael (Tamara) Butts. Janet was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Carol Wallace.
First and foremost, Janet was very dedicated to her daughters and grandson. Throughout their lives she followed their sporting events and all other activities they were involved in. She loved to listen to her daughter Erin play the violin and enjoyed many daily calls with her daughter Lauren. She loved sports, especially the Michigan State Spartans and Duke Blue Devils. Janet was an animal lover and previously showed and jumped in horse shows, riding her beloved horse, "Shady Music". Janet will be remembered as loving, funny, silly at times, and her daughters' best friend.
