Janis Ann (Cole) Sovern

Janis Ann (Cole) Sovern, 80, of Battle Creek died at Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Residence with her family at her side, on Thursday, November 7, 2013.

Janis was born June 27, 1933, in Battle Creek to Howard E. and Bertha M. (Nulf) Cole. She was raised in Battle Creek and was a 1951 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School.

Janis was formerly married to Theodore E. Sovern. Surviving are her son, Jeffrey Sovern and her daughter, Melinda (Louis) Lussier all of Battle Creek; and three grandchildren, Kelly (Joseph) Blanchard-Mayo , Cole Lussier and Emilie Lussier. Janis was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Connie Lynn Sovern in 1960.

As requested by Janis, funeral services for her family were held at Memorial Park Cemetery, Saturday, November 8, 2013.
