Jeanette Louise (Amlotte) Martin

Jeanette Louise (Amlotte) Martin, of Battle Creek died on her terms, peacefully at home with her family at her side, the day before her 76th birthday, on Thursday, November 29, 2018.

Jeanette was united in marriage to George Irving Martin on April 9, 1964 in Battle Creek. Surviving are George, her husband of 54 years; two daughters, Debra (Nick) Mathews and Dawn Rall both of Battle Creek; grandchildren, Darren Mathews, Lindsey Waidelich, Brandon (Tiara) Martin, Steven Martin, Gregory Martin, Shelley Martin, Elyzabyth Martin, Kevin Martin and Dakota Martin; and nine great-grandchildren. Sadly, Jeanette was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Martin, and her parents.

Jeanette loved her family and looked after all their needs. Her husband, "The Secretary", said it would take six men to do the work she did. Jeanette was not only a good fisherperson, she filleted and cooked them to perfection. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and using a metal detector looking for treasures. Jeanette was also known to talk on the phone a wee-bit with family and friends. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, love of family and garage saleing.

Jeanette's family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, where funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 4, 2018. Committal and interment will follow at Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
