Jeff E. Spanninga

Jeff E. Spanninga, age 61, of Ceresco passed away peacefully at home on Sunday evening, February 23, 2020. He was born in Battle Creek on April 12, 1958, the son of Russell and Marie (Bekkering) Spanninga. Jeff graduated from Bronson High School and worked as a salesman at Henkel Automotive for more than 30 years.

Jeff is survived by a sister, Sandra Hildenbrand of Battle Creek; three brothers, Don Spanninga of California, Russ (Carol) Spanninga of Springport, and Gary (Jane) Bekkering of Tennessee; niece and nephews, Eric (Christy) & Brian Ware, Sarah, R.J., Chris (Caroline), and Paul Spanninga; and many good friends and customers.

Jeff was very devoted to his family, friends and customers. He loved animals, especially "Secret" his horse and "Sasha" his dog. He enjoyed riding horses and volunteered many hours helping kids at local horse stables. Jeff also enjoyed traveling, but he also loved just being at home on the farm.

The family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek where services to celebrate Jeff's life will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 28, 2020. Interment will be held privately at Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to your favorite charity in memory of Jeff.
