Jenny Ann Dragoo

August 5, 1972 — March 12, 2017

Jenny Ann Dragoo, 44, was taken too soon. She went into the arms of the Lord on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at home. She was born in Battle Creek, MI on August 5, 1972, the daughter of John A. and Joann C. (Frederick) Williston.

She graduated from Pennfield High School in 1990 and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree with majors in Russian and Linguistics and a minor in English from Western Michigan University in 1995.

Jenny was preceded in death by her father John A. Williston, her aunt Sandra Heath, great aunt and uncle Thelma and Doug Dunsmore, and paternal and maternal grandparents. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Steven B. Dragoo, her mother Joann Williston, her brother John B. (Heather), Williston several aunts, uncles, cousins, and her nephew Lincoln A. Williston, Lincoln's mother Rebecca, and many friends.

Her past workplaces included EPI and the Battle Creek Enquirer and News. She then worked for 16 years as a Materials Manager at Post Holdings where she met her beloved husband Steve.

Jenny loved the Lord and converted to the Roman Catholic faith. She had a most compassionate heart, especially concerning God's most vulnerable creatures of the animal kingdom. She fostered and rescued dogs and cats, donated time and money to many shelters, and loved all animals. She doted on her three dogs Onion, Puggles and Pugpantz, and she passed away reassured by their presence. She also enjoyed candle making, restoring antique furniture, and restoring and decorating her beautiful Victorian-style home in Marshall, Michigan.
