Jerri Ann Williams, 72, of Battle Creek, Michigan died peacefully at home, with her family at her side, on Thursday, April 3, 2025.

Jerri was born June 14, 1952, in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of Sherman and Lena (Jackson) Beene. She was a 1970 graduate of Pennfield High School and a lifelong area resident. Jerri was a stay-at-home mom and always put family first. Later in life she was employed at Hot & Now and BTG.

Her brother, Leland, introduced Jerri to a young man by the name of Roger Williams while playing pinball one day and that’s where it all started. Jerri Ann Williams and Roger Gale Williams were united in marriage on July 2, 1971, in Gallatin, Tennessee. Surviving are her husband of 53+ years, Roger; two daughters, Lisa A. (Gerald) Louttit of Battle Creek, Teresa J. (Eric Sutherland) Williams of Potterville, MI; a son Roger G. (Virginia) Williams, Jr. of Battle Creek; a stepdaughter, Bobbie Jo (Darrell) Duncan of Battle Creek; 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers, Paul Beene of Pearland, TX, Larry Graham (Gail Davis) of Fort Leavenworth, KS, Mitch Beene of Evensville, TN, Leland (Betty) Beene of Colorado Springs, CO, sister-in-law Eleanor Beene of Battle Creek, MI, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Jerri was preceded in death by her parents, Sherman and Lena; a sister, Barbara Beene; four brothers, Bud, Charlie, Jim and Roger Beene; and three sisters-in-law, Agnes Beene, Joann Beene and Jackie Beene.

Jerri loved family and holiday gatherings. She had a sweet tooth, enjoyed baking sweet desserts, and was known for her peanut butter fudge. Another favorite was Diet Coke. Jerri enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and Sudoku. She loved going to Bluegrass festivals with Roger and friends. She spent her pastime watching the Hallmark channel, Westerns and making trips to the casino. Jerri will be remembered as “Memaw” by her grandchildren and for the love and generosity she was always willing to give as the matriarch of the family.

A gathering to celebrate Jerri’s life will be held at the Eagles Lodge, 19757 Capital Ave. NE, Battle Creek, MI 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 26, 2025.

The family would like to acknowledge everyone at Elara Caring Hospice for their above and beyond care for Jerri over the past ten months.
