Jerry Gordon Bartholomew

Jerry Gordon Bartholomew, age 74, of Scotts, Michigan, passed away on March 5, 2021. He was born in Vicksburg, Michigan on September 3, 1946, the son of Russell and Jessie Bartholomew of Scotts, Michigan.

Jerry married the "Love of His Life", Bonnie (McGowan) Bartholomew on June 20, 1970; she survives. He is also survived by his three sons, Scott Bartholomew (Carmen), Travis Bartholomew (Tricia) and Randy Bartholomew (Jessi); and one daughter, Carla McClish (Rick); grandchildren, Paul (Roxy), Erica (Travis), Taylor (Zach), Shane, Garrett, Brandie (Mitch), Chelsea, Wyatt, Trevor, Levi, Grant, Jackson, and Lincoln; great-grandchildren, Jace, Eliyas, Raelyn, Jessie, Raylan, Travis, and William.

Jerry served as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps in Vietnam and was proud to have served his country. He had a passion for farming since FFA in high school and was able to enjoy a lifetime of farming and working in the HVAC industry as an occupation. He enjoyed raising and showing Percheron draft horses, hunting, shooting and woodworking as hobbies. He was a member of the Percheron Draft Horse Association.

Funeral service and visitation will be held at Northeastern Baptist Church at 6536 East G Avenue in Kalamazoo on Thursday March 11, 2021. Visitation will begin at 1130 a.m. and will be followed by a 12:00 p.m. service. A luncheon to follow at the Scott's Community Center at 8450 South 36th street in Scotts, Michigan. Memorials directed to the American Cancer Society and/or the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, would be appreciated.
