Jimmie Davis “Jim” Collins, Jr., age 55, of Battle Creek, Michigan died at home on Thursday, May 7, 2026, after battling cancer.

Jim was born February 3, 1971, in Battle Creek, Michigan the son of Jimmie Davis and Sandra (Parks) Collins. He grew up in Battle Creek and dropped out of Pennfield High School in the 11th grade. He was employed in assembly by several automotive parts manufacturers, including Denso and Asmo.

Surviving are his former wife, Rhonda Rose; a son, Jessie (Danielle Nicole Dillery) of Battle Creek; a daughter, Ahlaya (Chris Gallegos) Johnson-Collins of Los Angelos, CA; his mother, Sandra Collins of Muskegon; a brother, Shaun Patrick (Angie) Collins of Muskegon and several nieces and nephews; Shane Patrick Collins, Lily Joy Collins, Samuel Davis Collins, Dean Patrick Collins, Meredith Jane Collins, Alexander Lee Collins, and their families. Jim was preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Sr. and a sister, Theresa Jane Collins.

Jim enjoyed working on cars. He was a good cook, enjoyed watching cooking shows on TV and sharing his cooking tips with family and friends. He enjoyed rock music and his favorite singer was the “Prince of Darkness” Ozzy Osbourne. Jim will be remembered for hanging out, playing cards and riding dirt bikes when he was younger. He enjoyed going on vacation when he could.

A graveside service to celebrate Jim’s life will be held at West Pennfield Hicks Cemetery. The time and day will be announced soon here. If you have any questions prior to that please call us at 269-962-5527.
