Jimmie "Sherri" Preston

Jimmie S. Preston (Sherri), 48, of Battle Creek died suddenly August 18, 2014 at Bronson Battle Creek. Jimmie was born July 2, 1966 in Dallas TX., the daughter of Jimmy and Shirley (Bright) Preston.

She enjoyed reading, playing bingo, the casino, family gathering's, but most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a very outgoing woman, who has touched the lives of many others, and will for years to come. She will deeply be missed.

Sherri is survived by her long time fiancé-life partner Todd Lane of 32 years; a daughter Shannon (Mike) Richey; a son Jimmy Lane and fiancé Kaleigh Robinson ; 8 grandchildren ; Michael, Kayla, Caleb, Cole, Emma, Tamia, Tristan, Camden; her mother Shirley ; 3 sisters Cindy Preston, Crystal Preston, Jenny Preston, and a brother Rodney Preston; many niece's and nephew's. She was preceded in death by her father Jimmy Preston, and grandson Carter Lane.

Funeral services to celebrate Sherri's life will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 26th at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home.
