Joann M. Rounds

JoAnn M. Rounds, 85, of Battle Creek, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 25, 2019 at Glenn Arbor Hospice Residence. She was born December 9, 1934, the daughter of Joseph and Winona DeRose in Lansing, MI. JoAnn graduated from the Kellogg Consolidated High School in Hickory Corners (now Gull Lake Schools) in 1952.

After high school, JoAnn was employed by Model Finance before going to Clark Equipment for 20 years. She married Lee Repke in 1965 which ended in divorce and married Rudy Rounds in 1983. JoAnn is survived by her step-children, William (Reiko) Repke of Galesburg, Christine Repke of Sturgis and Paul (Lisa) Repke of Alabama; grandchildren, Kenneth, Margaret, Michelle, and Robert Repke, Julie Perley and Chelsea Howard; two great-granddaughters and one great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father, Charles Wells; step-daughter, Sheryl Repke; and her husband, Rudy.

JoAnn loved bowling and was on several different leagues in Battle Creek from 1963 to 1996. She also loved flowers, her cat, Candy Sue, and spending time with her many friends.

Funeral services to celebrate JoAnn's life will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, starting at 10:00 a.m. A private interment will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery.
