Joel D. Kellay

Joel D. Kellay, 46, of Battle Creek, died March 9, 2019 at his residence. Joel was born December 10, 1972 in Battle Creek to James and Sandra (Chalfant) Kellay. He attended Pennfield High School and worked at Rosler Metal Finishing. He loved music and playing his guitar. He also enjoyed 4-wheelers and driving his four-wheel drive van.

Joel married Melissa Landers in 2003, who survives. Also surviving are their two children; Joseph and Jayce Kellay; his mother, Sandra (Rick) Anderson; his father, James (Sue) Kellay; a sister, Hope (Craig) Kohler and a brother, James (Christine) Kellay, Jr. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

A memorial service to celebrate Joel's life will be 2:30 p.m., Saturday, March 16, 2019 at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, starting at 1:30 p.m. Personal messages for the family may be placed at www.farleyestesdowdle.com.
