John O. Ritter

John Orla Ritter, 69, of Battle Creek passed away Thursday, September 4, 2025.

John was born January 23, 1956 in Battle Creek to John H. and Sylvia (Blodgett) Ritter. He enjoyed working on lawn mowers, racing, and scratch-off lottery tickets. He loved his dog, Hoppy. He was a man who was there for his family, anytime you needed him.

John is survived by his daughter, Marsha (Trenton) Hegge; grandchildren, Alexis (Ryan) Bischoff, Christian Bischoff, Katrin (Jakolbie) McCleary, Cole Bischoff, Zander Hegge, Charity (Lorenzo) Face; great-grandchildren, Jazzlyn, Copelyn, Aryia and unborn great-grandson, Kayzen; brother, Clyde Hicks; special niece, Karleigh Ritter and special nephew, Donnie Ritter; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Starla, eleven siblings and his parents.
