John Neil Sherban

John 'Neil' Sherban, age 84, of Battle Creek, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 14th, 2021.
Neil was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 3rd, 1937, the son of George and Anna Sherban. He married his beloved wife, Jennifer (Beauvais) Sherban in 1989. Neil was proud of his time in the United States Air Force where he served as a firefighter. After his time in the military, Neil worked in the automotive industry for 38 years, retiring in 1996. Neil and his wife spent most of his retirement in Lexington, Tennessee.
Neil is survived by his companion and anchor in life, Jennifer Sherban; his son, Keith (Sherii) Sherban; his daughter, Debra (Claude) Ramey; his grandchildren, David Sherban, Christyn (Nick) McCleary, Alex (Catlin) Ramey, Zachary Ramey, Grace Ramey and his half-sister, Eleanor Dougherty. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Judith Koole; and his half-brother, George Sherban Jr.
Neil tinkered with everything. Everyone knew him as "Mr. Fix It." He loved to share his faith in his Lord Jesus. He also loved wood working in his shop at home. Neil was an avid reader and fisherman.
At the family's request, cremation has taken place and no services are being planned. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations may be made to Miles for Memories and sent to the Battle Creek Community Foundation, 32 Michigan Ave. W, Battle Creek, MI, 49017.
