John Robert Taylor, 49, of Battle Creek, passed away peacefully at his home June 6, 2015.
He leaves behind two sons, Gary W. (Ashlee) Taylor, and Bryan Taylor, both of Battle Creek; daughter Jessica Taylor, of Battle Creek; his father, Gary L. Taylor; sister Michelle (Ron) Young, of Battle Creek; and six grandchildren.
Greeting him at the gates of Heaven to welcome him: his mother, Janet L. Taylor; and grandparents, Luella and Lloyd Lowry, Sophie Truby and John Taylor.
John was a strong-willed man who enjoyed fishing, hunting and family time. He served as a Marine, of which he was very proud. He was the kind of man who would give strangers the shirt off his back if they needed it. His sense of humor was refreshing, and he kept us all laughing even when we didn't want to.
Fly proud, John Taylor. We love you!
A Celebration of John's Life will be held at Nottke's Bowl, 775 W. Columbia Ave., Battle Creek 3:00-6:00 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2015. Arrangements are by Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Personal messages for the family may be placed here at www.farleyestesdowdle.com.
