Duke F. Sells

Johnie F. "Duke" Sells, 85, of Battle Creek, died May 4, 2026.  Duke was born November 10, 1940 in Cameron, Louisiana to George and Ruby Sells. He served his country honorably in the United States Army and then went on to be the captain of a charter fishing boat in the Gulf of Mexico.  

Duke is survived by his daughter, Krissy Sells; grandchildren, Jonathan and Robert Sells; two nephews, Wes and Timmy and four nieces, Nikki, Theresa, Sally and Bobette.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  

A graveside service to celebrate Duke's life will be 3:00 p.m., Thursday, May 14, 2026 at Fort Custer National Cemetery.  Arrangements by the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care.  Personal messages for the family may be placed at www.farleyestesdowdle.com.
