Jon Lee Miller

Jon L. Miller, 72, of Battle Creek, died September 22, 2019. Jon was born in Coldwater, MI on March 25, 1947 to Keith Albert and Lila Marie (Cooper) Miller. In 1956, he moved to Marshall, where he was a 1966 graduate of Marshall High School. Jon was employed by the Eaton Corporation for 17 years and retired in 2009 from Johnson Controls, where he was employed for 19 years.

Jon married Barbara Ann Ludwa in Battle Creek on September 12, 1986. Surviving are his wife Barbara; two sons, Joshua Miller and Brian (Chelsea) Miller; three daughters, Emily Miller, Teresa Miller and Jennifer Heald; six grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Halbert Sheperd and five nieces and nephews. Jon was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Linda Sheperd and a brother, Keith William Miller.

Jon enjoyed bass fishing with his son, Brian and friend, Mike Peterson. Jon loved his family and his cat, Pounce.

A memorial service to celebrate Jon's life will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 28, 2019 at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Jon's body will be donated to medical science, followed by cremation through the University of Michigan Medical School. Burial of Jon's cremated remains will be made at the University of Michigan in conjunction with their annual memorial service.
