Joseph A. Dronchi

Joseph A. Dronchi Sr., 92, of Battle Creek, died March 11, 2022. Joseph was born February 28, 1930 in Albany, NY to Thomas and Rose (Castellito) Dronchi. He graduated from Philip Schuyler High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He served a professional apprenticeship and worked as a pipe steam fitter for Grand Trunk for 10 years, and then worked at Post, General Motors and the Kellogg Company, retiring in 1991.

Joseph enjoyed ball room dancing, hunting, fishing, walking and participating in Senior Partner's Activities, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Joseph is survived by his son, Kenneth (Heide) Dronchi of Jackson; a sister, Victoria (Frank) Pazienza of Albany, NY; a brother, Anthony (Rosemary) Dronchi of Vero Beach, FL; a daughter-in-law, Darleen (Michael) Dronchi-Tuminello of Pelican Lake, WI and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. All will treasure his memory and he will be greatly missed.

Joseph married the former Lois Nichols on November 8, 1952, who preceded him in death in 2013. He was also preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Joseph A. Dronchi, Jr. and Thomas W. Dronchi; a brother, Thomas Dronchi Jr. and a sister, Francis Pellera.

Military honors and a private service will be Monday, March 21, 2022 at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
