Joshua Alexander Moats

Joshua Alexander “Josh” Moats, age 28 of Kalamazoo passed away unexpectedly on September 9, 2023.  He was born in Battle Creek on March 8, 1995, the loving son of Larry and Stephanie (Gandy) Moats.  Josh graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School with the Class of 2013 and furthered his education at Western Michigan University, graduating in 2018.

Josh is survived by his parents Larry & Stephanie of Battle Creek; his ex-wife, Jessica McCoy of Kalamazoo; and several aunts, uncles & cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jerry & Kathleen Moats and Lester & Joyce Gandy.

Josh truly enjoyed creating digital media, producing music and was a well-known web comic.  He loved spending time in nature and his cat, Findabhair.
