Joslin Fisher-Moon of Battle Creek passed away in her home on April 15, 2023.
Losing a loved one is never easy, always emotional. So it is, and shall forever be the way with the passing of our beloved Joslin Heather Moon.
Joslin came into this world a brief 44 years ago. Born in Community Hospital in Battle Creek on July 17, 1978. She was adventurous as a young child, curious and caring. As life will, Joslin traveled many roads, explored many corners. She had a passion for free spirit connections. She loved to bake and many claimed she could have gone on to do many great things in this area. There were many road trips through the countryside and symbolically throughout her life. Taking in all nature provided in Michigan, traveling with her dearest friend Les, was always a way for Joslin to reconnect with all things important to her. She loved outdoor concerts, crafts, camping, and enjoying the balloon festival and fall colors every year. Her hobbies were a way for her to stay connected with her family and friends. Joslin found peace and contentment in her creativity.
Joslin is survived by her grandfather Merlin Moon of Olivet, MI; brothers, Dustin Moon of Kalamazoo, MI, Kenton Moon of Olivet, MI, Soyer Moon of Kalamazoo, MI; uncles, Kim Fisher of Oklahoma, Raymond Ferry of Paw Paw; aunts, Mari Hester Rosario of Charlotte, Julie Runyan of Florida, Marcia Frost of Olivet and Renee Moon of Marshall. And by her greatest loves, her two children, Dakota Moon of Homer, MI and Jalinn Pennock of Battle Creek.
Joslin is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents; Iris Ferry Hester and Jim Fisher ; step grandfather, James Hester, III; father, Mark Moon; mother, Tonya Fisher Moon Jettner; stepfather, Mike Jettner; paternal grandmother, Patricia Moon; Uncle Kenny Moon; Aunt Linda Fisher Henning and her cousins, Alicia Busick and Broc Howard.
A memorial service to celebrate Joslin’s life will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at West Eckford Church. Attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite concert and band shirts.
Joslin had lived with the complications of the rare and heredity Latent Autoimmune Diabetes (LADA) since 2008. In lieu of flowers contributions to the diabetic research center of your choosing would be greatly appreciated. Personal messages for the family may be placed at ww.farleyestesdowdle.com.
