Joyce Ann "Joey" Englert

Joyce Ann “Joey” Englert, age 67 of Battle Creek passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2024.  She was born in Battle Creek on May 6, 1956, the daughter of Joseph and Marie (Wilson) Davis and graduated from Harper Creek High School.  Joey worked at E.P.I. for several years and then started her own antique business traveling to many flea markets and antique shows.  She loved attending the Rocky Horror Show at the Barn Theatre, rescuing cats, antiquing, and shopping at flea markets and high-end consignment shops. She also studied basket weaving, and made some beautiful and unique baskets.

Joey married Larry Raymond Englert on June 24, 1983; he sadly preceded her in death on May 11, 2020.  She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, Karl Scheidler.  Joey is survived by her brother, Lewayne (Maria) Davis; her sister, Cheryle Scheidler; her niece, Dawne Scheidler; her nephew, Wade (Denae) Scheidler; a great-niece and a great-nephew.  

A private family interment has been held at the Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta.  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the SSG Michael A.
