Joyce E. (Curtis) Geiger of Hopkins, MI and formerly of Richland, Ml

Joyce, age 84, passed away on Sunday, May 27th, 2018, at Railside Living Center in Byron Center, MI.

Joyce was born on November 14,1933 to the late Bill & Dorothy Curtis of Kalamazoo. Joyce graduated from Delton High School in 1951. On April 16,1955, she married Donald D. Geiger, Sr. and they enjoyed 60 years of marriage before he passed in August of 2015. Joyce was a stay at home Mom and loved having her family & friends over for dinners and hosting all kinds of parties.

Besides her parents and husband, Joyce was also preceded in death by her brothers, Jerry and Frank Curtis. She is survived by her sons, Don, Jr.
and Steven (Brenda), granddaughters Stacy (Jason) DeWeerd and Carrie (Adam) Seifert, great grandchildren, Skylar, Tucker and Owen DeWeerd and Kallee and Kyla Seifert, sisters Delores (Ron) Tilley, Joan (Bruce) Allen, brothers Bill (Marilyn) Curtis, Ron (Sharon) Curtis, sister in law Jeanne Curtis and many cousins, nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Railside Living Center for the excellent and compassionate care they gave Mom in her last month's and to Kindred Hospice for their care and guidance.

Joyce's family greeted friends at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Richland Chapel, 9170 East D Avenue (M-89), 49083 on Wednesday, May 30th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Thursday, May 31st at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Father James S. O'Leary, Pastor of St. Ambrose Catholic Church of Parchment, MI, officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Home Cemetery, Richland. Immediately following the committal service, family and friends will gather at St. Ambrose Catholic Church Fellowship Hall, 18628 East G Avenue, Parchment, MI 49004 to continue Joyce's life celebration with a time of fellowship and a luncheon.
