Joyce Ann Nicholls

Joyce Ann Nicholls, 78, of Battle Creek, Michigan died at home on June 10, 2017.

Joyce was born April 30, 1939 in Battle Creek, MI to Herb and Pauline (Yeomans) Rowse. She graduated with the first senior class at Pennfield High School. She was employed several years, retiring from Leila Hospital.

Joyce married Eldon Nicholls on May 4, 1957. Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Eldon; two daughters, Penny (Doug) Nunn of Battle Creek; Vicki (Kraig) Lawrence of Wake Forest, NC; four sons, Mark (Vicky) Nicholls of Battle Creek; Mike (Carol) Nicholls of Fayetteville, NC; Steve (Tonya) Nicholls of Battle Creek; and Jim Nicholls of Battle Creek; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Charlie. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, a great-granddaughter, Kaleigh Woodman and her beloved dog, Maddie.

Joyce loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved planting flowers and watching the birds. Joyce loved animals.

Friends will be received 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Funeral services will be officiated by Pastor John Grafton 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Battle Creek Friends Church, 1305 Olive St., Battle Creek, MI 49014 .
